Triple 9 is a dark and gloomy story, which feels strongly inspired by Michael Mann's Heat. Unlike Heat, the film/script doesn't give the characters enough substance to make us care for their outcome in the film. The ordeals of the characters came and went without me feeling any real emotions towards any of them.

This isn't a bad movie but it's not brilliant. There are a few of gun battle/action periods that are really well shot and entertaining enough to keep you interested in the film as a whole. It's not too predictable but there are not enough shocks or tense moments that you would expect from a thriller.


Storyline

In TRIPLE 9, a crew of dirty cops is blackmailed by the Russian mob to execute a virtually impossible heist. The only way to pull it off is to manufacture a 999, police code for "officer down". Their plan is turned upside down when the unsuspecting rookie they set up to die foils the attack, triggering a breakneck, action-packed finale filled with double-crosses, greed and revenge. One dimensional characters, in a poor but predictable storyline, I am extremely fortunate that I did not have to pay to watch this drivel. Apparently based on a mixture of true stories, the screenplay could have been written on the back of a cigarette pack.

I generally like Ethan Hawke in most roles he plays, but he is less than convincing in this dross. Although she still can't quite shake off the witchcraft link, Emma Watson must be desperate to get away from her goody-goody girl Harry Potter-based past to even think about appearing in this complete waste of time, meanwhile Dave Thewlis, normally an excellent British character actor, snoozes through this as if he was in a school play; zzzzzzzzz...

Storyline

A young girl is sexually abused by her father. Thus, begins the disturbing tale of a father and daughter torn apart, thrown into the center of a conspiracy that shocks the nation. Written by Anonymous

So bad that I walked out of the theater

This is only the second time in my life that a movie was so bad that I had to leave the theater. I stayed in the theater until the last 15 minutes of this long and disgusting film, which was an hour and a half longer than I should have stayed. Please don't take a child to see this film. If you like movies that try to shock you with the gory violence of blood and brain splatter then you'll like it. Most of us can sit through a certain amount of violence for a great story line, but the story line was weak, making the violence intolerable. I hated this film so much that it caused me to write my very first movie review to help you save your money, your time, and leaving the theater with an awful feeling in the pit of your stomach!


Storyline

Some time after the Civil War, a stagecoach hurtles through the wintry Wyoming landscape. Bounty hunter John Ruth and his fugitive captive Daisy Domergue race towards the town of Red Rock, where Ruth will bring Daisy to justice. Along the road, they encounter Major Marquis Warren (an infamous bounty hunter) and Chris Mannix (a man who claims to be Red Rock's new sheriff). Lost in a blizzard, the bunch seeks refuge at Minnie's Haberdashery. When they arrive they are greeted by unfamiliar faces: Bob, who claims to be taking care of the place while Minnie is gone; Oswaldo Mobray, the hangman of Red Rock; Joe Gage, a cow puncher; and confederate general Sanford Smithers. Hard to find a thriller like Sicario these days , watch it! My thought is that a good Thriller title is the hardest case you can go for as a movie maker .A good thriller has to keep you hooked and in tense for the whole movie ,worst case for most of the movie.Sicario manages to provide the right amount of thrill and action in a way it keeps you interested through all of the time.Sure it had its flaws and sometimes i was a little disappointed with the decision the writers made with this one but when i look at the whole picture its coming up as a very good film , i honestly couldn't stop watching and was a little sad when it was over. I must say though that this movie has a political opinions in it that you cant overlook and it can be a little con for some viewers. Overall , this movie is truly a gem to Hollywood industry right now , very well written and directed plus it has outstanding cast.

I write this review only because I saw a whole bunch of negative reviews about POINT BREAK (2015).

First of all, it was a visual delight, Edge of the seat, Adventure movie.

Yes, the plot isn't very logical, but to me the cinematography coupled with the breath taking adventure sports/stunts made up for the lack of decent plot.

I spent a no holds barred, very entertaining 114 mins in Theatre and that's tat.

MUST See, especially in 3D for a marvelous experience
